Chacao galardona a 3 j?venes con el Premio Municipal de Historia “Augusto Mijares”

(Chacao, 22.08.24)._ Con el objetivo de incentivar la comprensión y estudio de la historia, el Concejo Municipal de Chacao por iniciativa del vicepresidente del ente legislativo y presidente de la Comisión de Capital Humano, concejal Oscar González realizó la entrega del Premio Municipal de Historia “Augusto Mijares”, edición 2024.

Durante la Sesión Especial del Concejo Municipal de la entrega del Premio Municipal de Historia “Augusto Mijares”, el alcalde Gustavo Duque señaló “es necesario que volvamos no solamente a estudiar historia sino a los libros. Aquí vimos a un grupo de jóvenes que se postularon y nos llena de emoción que cada año que lo hacemos se postulan más personas. Estamos convencidos que la Historia de Venezuela debe seguirse estudiando”.

Entretanto, el organizador de la actividad, concejal Oscar González señaló “hoy estamos reconociendo a los jóvenes que estudian, viven aquí en Chacao y decidieron participar en la cuarta edición del Premio Municipal de Historia dedicado a la vida y obra del maestro Rómulo Gallegos, escritor y político venezolano. Los participantes desarrollaron ensayos sobre este personaje y estamos premiando su esfuerzo y dedicación. Más de 25 jóvenes se postularon, 12 jóvenes llegaron a la final y hoy, estamos galardonando a 3 con la entrega de Mención Joven, Mención Adulto y una Mención Honorífica”. 

 

González agregó “Chacao siempre como municipio pionero ha buscado consolidar el único premio de estímulo a la investigación de nuestro pasado y presente. La historia como todos sabemos es el hilo que teje nuestra identidad nos conecta con nuestras raíces, nos permite aprender de nuestros aciertos y errores y, nos brinda la oportunidad de reflexionar de quienes somos y hacia dónde vamos”.

El Orador de Orden de la Sesión fue el Individuo de número de la Academia Nacional de la Historia, José Alberto Olivar, quien destacó la relevancia de esta actividad municipal. “El Premio Municipal de Historia “Augusto Mijares” marca una pauta importante para estimular entre los jóvenes venezolanos la posibilidad cierta de comprender sobre el presente y el futuro de nuestro país”.

Entretanto, Carlos Eduardo Delfino, presidente de la Fundación Bancaribe para la Ciencia y la Cultura señaló “Esta iniciativa del Premio Municipal de Historia “Augusto Mijares” permite no solamente estimular el estudio analítico, como lo hemos visto, de hechos y sucesos importantes de la Historia de Venezuela a través de personajes que con su vida y obra han sembrado los valores que debemos cultivar; sino que además realza el esfuerzo de jóvenes que han dedicado su tiempo, con esmero y absoluta dedicación al estudio de la materia que ha sido propuesta para este premio y lo han hecho de una manera excelente, por lo que han merecido este reconocimiento”. 

 

Además, Daniel Martínez, ganador de la mención joven del Premio Municipal de Historia “Augusto Mijares”, por el ensayo titulado: Pobre Negro: la Venezuela que no conocimos destacó “es un premio que para mí significa mucho, ya que verdaderamente puse todo mi empeño en este trabajo y para mí, es un gran logro. Me siento muy honrado y feliz”.

Por su parte, Jean Franco Gil, ganador de la mención Adulto por el ensayo El pensamiento positivista de Rómulo Gallegos en La Alborada y Canaima indicó “La historia es el estudio de los hechos y sucesos, mediante un método, para la reflexión de esto y comprensión del presente y, trabajando la obra de Rómulo Gallego logré comprender que aunque no era un historiador, sus modelos presentaban lecciones de la historia que nos aconsejaban sobre el presente nacional que se vivía en ese entonces y la Venezuela de su momento”.

El jurado del Premio Municipal de Historia "Augusto Mijares", edición 2024 estuvo conformado por: José Alberto Olivar por la Academia Nacional de la Historia, Edgar Maldonado de la Escuela de Historia de la UCV, José Betancourt y Rogers Goncalvez, postulados por la Comisión de Capital Humano; Adlih Carolina González por el Colegio Santo Domingo de Guzmán, Luz Villamizar por el Colegio San Francisco de Asis y Luis Quintero por El Colegio Santo Tomás de Aquino.

 

Este evento fue avalado por la Escuela de Historia de la UCV, la Academia Nacional de la Historia y la Fundación Federalismo y Libertad de Argentina y contó con el apoyo del alcalde Gustavo Duque, Alcaldía de Chacao y los aliados de la empresa privada: Salty, Golden Foods, Origen, La Montserratina, Vassari Gelato, Cazuelitas, Mercado Municipal de Chacao y Alimentos Difresca.
